Travelport Booking Feed

Meet the growing needs of your customers in their customer-owned databases by using a Travelport proprietary data source that collects both pre- and post-ticketing data from the Travelport Apollo or Travelport Galileo Systems (GDS).

Travelport Booking Feed represents a potential revenue-generating product for agencies as it extends their service support level and allows them to perform a travel management role for their corporate and business customers. This service strengthens their client relationship and provides scope to increase the value of those accounts. Agencies can streamline robotic activity and eliminate excessive transactions.

A growing resource built on flexible technologies

The right data and analytical capabilities are what you need to meet the growing demand for performance monitoring and tailored reporting. Booking Feed is an application that uses XML data and allows interaction with other programs and reporting applications, including Travelport Business Insights and Travelport e-Tracker, which records, monitors, and generates reports on the status of all e-tickets issued.

The Travelport Booking Feed data source is routinely enhanced to deliver more expansive capabilities designed to increase your value to your customers.

Analyze travel patterns

Travelport Booking Feed offers a rich, accurate, reliable, and flexible data source to help negotiate better deals with vendors, monitor travel budgeting, and enhance Customer Relationship Management. Travelport Booking Feed provides reliable data to monitor reservation compliance with travel policy right after booking, not after the trip.

With Travelport Booking Feed, travel business managers can extensively analyze travel patterns and travel policy compliance, as well as assist in vendor negotiations, business operations, and budgeting. Travelport Booking Feed also supplies customers with factual, supervisory guidance by providing cost containment based on database management.

Traveler tracking

The power of Travelport Booking Feed allows you to track where travelers are in the world based on real-time pre- and post-ticketing data, depending on your Travelport Galileo or Travelport Apollo system connection. You can receive daily alerts for the number of itineraries booked outside of travel policy. Respond quickly when business travelers are in high risk countries or situations by generating on-demand lists.

You’ll receive an automated message when
  • A booking is created.
  • An existing booking is modified by adding or deleting an itinerary item.
  • A fare quote is added or deleted.
  • A ticket is issued, voided, or un-voided.
In-house and ad hoc Reports

With Travelport Booking Feed, agencies, corporations, and third-party developers acquire the ability to gain strategic, operational, and tactical views of a business. It also supports agencies in winning and maintaining corporate accounts by providing them with relevant ad hoc and travel reports. Customers can monitor sales of preferred vendors as well as create sales forecasts and market share reports, using any report-writer tool.

Components
There are three major components to the Travelport Booking Feed product:
  • The Apollo or Galileo GDS.
  • The Travelport UNIX environment, which stores ticket data and booking file change information.
  • The Client Adapter in the customer environment, which receives and processes the data.

Product-Specific Data Feed: In addition to the TBFA field, three other AAT fields allow Galileo, Apollo, and ARNE customers to receive product-specific data. This customized data is collected internally and specifically sent to users of related Travelport products: View Trip (VTRP AAT field) and E-Tracker (ETRK AAT field).
